How to now if a cat has skin cancer? - eyelid cancer images

I took my cat to the vet and the vet said recently that he may have a skin cancer. My cat has a pink growth / lump right under your eyelid. It looks very painful treatment but tryed that we are not working. I do not think it bothers a lot, but I'll get a sample, wait for a new or a little bit and see what happens. Please help me
